Over
the last several weeks, there have been a multitude of articles
written by major local media sources across the country about
Election 2000 and the fact that media sponsored ballot reviews
indicate AL GORE WON FLORIDA!
None of the national media outlets have picked up on those
stories.
Then
the Miami Herald, known as a conservative and right-leaning member
of the print media, publishes ONE article that says Bush might
have won even if he had not stopped the legal recount of
ballots in Florida. All of a sudden the national media is
all over this tidbit of conservative BS like a duck on a June
Bug.
The
way this article in the Herald has been portrayed actually contradicts
other stories the Herald has printed on this same subject, but
that doesn't matter. One conservative newspaper publishes
a story that the rest of the conservative media LIKED and
that trumped a mountain of other stories by multiple major
media sources that tell the truth about Al Gore's
election victory in Florida.
Of
course, those among us who are hypocrital on this issue AND the
conservative news media will ignore this. Ever since
the election debacle ended with the Supreme Appointment of Resident
Bush, Republicans have complained and whined and tried to stop
the conservative media inspection of Florida's ballots, saying
it would be 'flawed, subject to mischief, and contain manufactured
votes!' Hypocrites!
We
can all admit that the Miami-Herald recount is a moot point.
The ELECTION that was STOLEN by Republican thugs
IS THE POINT!! Republican hypocrisy in lauding the Herald
report now, when it appears in a single article
to be going their way, is astounding!
