The Oral Majority will NEVER FORGET the day Democracy Died.

From the Editor...
Posted: 3/6/01

Dear Folks:
In my last day here (in Trinidad) both on vacation and trying to spread the No More Bushit word via Carnival, I'm feeling highly successful at having reached these folks from all over the world who are here to party.

However, I've also discovered that the locals here are seeing visions of "voter padding" and "creeping dictatorship" in their own country as they feel their Prime Minister, too, has stolen an election. This is apparent just underneath the surface of Carnival. This being my 11th time here, I am definitely feeling a 'difference' on this visit.

There is a nervous energy this time and the papers are still giving some coverage of the election fraud, unlike the conservative media in the U.S.

While in Trinidad on my vacation, I've had to spend 20 hours on the Oral Majority computer connection unraveling thousands of e-mails. Some relevant issues reared up among the many e-mails of support mixed in with a little hate mail, namely those which came in response to the Miami Herald's "suggestion" that "Bush won".

Thankfully most people didn't buy this conservative rhetoric seeing it for the propaganda that it is. Then there were some folks who actually focused for the first time on Bush as he traveled to different cities around the country, where they were helping to protest at his appearance.

One thing I found troubling in my thousands of e-mail messages is that there seems to be such a lack of focus. America reminds me of a beehive - buzzing around from one issue to another.

So, I'll attempt to clarify the problems straight-away. Here's what's happened:

The soul of America has been stolen. This is a crime of such immense proportions as to override any other issue. Many Liberals seize upon a myriad of issues to divert attention away from this main issue, often making excuses for not having reacted to the theft of an American election or for not supporting those who have voiced their horror at having an illegitimate president.

Bush-loving lock-step-marching conservative media, has lost all credibility with Americans who use their head for more than keeping a hat off their shoulders. Yes, truly, the conservative-owned media is covering up the election's theft, but so are our Democratic leaders in Washington who, except for the Black Caucus, have for the most part kept their mouths shut.

The Miami Herald, who did support Gore in November and who has published other stories indicating the ballot inspection favored Gore in Florida, recently came out with another story which suggested that "Bush won Florida". This story, offering a vague suggestion that possibly Bush might have won, is the story that was quoted loud and clear by all the media outlets in the country.

The conservative-owned media found one story they liked better than all the others and they jumped on it like a duck on a June Bug.

Nowhere in this story did the Herald talk about 13 of 20 ballot boxes in 2 black precincts in Miami-Dade, that were broken before the election; or the 1700 votes 'misaligned' that gave Gore 316 more votes, or how, in the initial count that was stopped, Gore got 158 more votes that this article blatantly ignores.

What about those 2000 who were allowed to vote, but who weren't eligible to vote? Or the 4000 'felons' who were only guilty of 'misdemeanors'; or the 1,800,000 ballots that were never machine-recounted even once, although Florida law mandated the state recount; or the 57,000 'overvotes' double-punched possibly on purpose? Why do you suppose the Bush gang worked so hard to obstruct and delay an accurate accounting if they really thought they had already won?

Let's face reality. America's press corps has been bought lock, stock, and barrel by some of the most conservative members of Corporate America. For example, the wildly conservative Rev. Sun Myung Moon now owns several media outlets including United Press International and the Washington Times.

People for the American Way had to pay for a full page ad in the New York Times listing (now up to ) 673 law professors who chastised the U.S. Supreme Court's political motives in appointing Bush. They had to buy their own ad because the conservative media refused to cover the story. That many law professors objecting to any court action is a legitimate news story, yet, not one of the conservative-owned media outlets picked up on it and ran the story.

So, we need to realize that the Corporate-owned Media is MAKING the news, not reporting it. They hope we will buy the conservative party line, stay in line, accept the conspiracy and their collaboration in this theft.

Today's shameful media mocks everything great about a free press with their mediocrity. Don't get me wrong. There are a few brave reporters out there like Helen Thomas who still tell the truth and let American's form their own opinions, but they are in the minority.

Today's conservative-owned media outlets, including television entertainment programming, are an opiate for the masses. As radio was the main tool the Nazis used for propaganda when they took over Germany, television is the propaganda machine of choice in America and the voice of the enemy within. The Fourth Estate, once considered an honorable fourth branch of government, is today's tool of the Fourth Reich.

As long as the American masses fight amongst themselves and operate with a unique lack of focus, the Bushies and their media accomplices win. Enslavement of the mind and spirit is the goal of those who have perpetrated this crime against America. And sadly, liberal minded Americans make it so easy for them by sliding from one issue to another and fighting amongst themselves. Nobody in today's America marches in lockstep better than Republicans. Not since the Gestapo has one group done such a good job of goose-stepping.

Whatever the conservative media can't control, it smears. Ask Bill & Hillary Clinton. One of the most despicable conservative media outlets, the National Review, even called for the murder of the Clintons starting with Chelsea....because she 'carried the seed'. Let's face it — these people are not playing with a full deck and they are hell-bent on telling the rest of us how to live because in their prejudiced minds they believe they know what is best for America. Beware!!

The only voice for many Americans today is the alternative media of the Internet. It is moving mountains and the fact that they can't 'control it' may be why they want to charge us 5 cents an e-mail. They want to make us pay again for a free press. So many Americans have already paid for freedom. Some have paid with their lives.

Instead of the issue of the stolen election weakening and disappearing, it's getting stronger due to local activism gaining strength. The Oral Majority has been leading this effort in Florida, nationally and now internationally.

So, in conclusion, we as Americans need to speak the truth if our press will not do it for us. We must tell it like it is and let the world know how we feel about the theft of an American election. We must speak out to our Democratic leaders whose strategy apparently is to share power with the Bushes and their thieves. We need to find Democrats who can take over Congress in 2002. We need loyal Democrats in Congress instead of those who choose to turn their eyes from the treachery in Florida.

The long and short of it is that the people who control Bush are stealing America's Soul. Our Democratic Leadership is looking the other way while the conservative corporate-owned media is shoveling hard to cover it up. Any questions?

Oral Majority dares all Americans to be true to themselves and to remember our history and who we are as a people. We beg you not to allow such a travesty to go unchallenged. We cannot allow fascism to gain a foothold and to undermine our beloved country. Remember that the people of Nazi Germany never dreamed where they were headed when they supported Hitler.

America, ask yourself this question. How will you save yourself when you find yourself in the sights of the conservative agenda?
What will you do when you find yourself to be one of "those people" that conservatives and their media don't like?
What will you do when you are having your worst nightmare shoved down your throat?

Will you risk this journey with us?

I entreat you to stop, look and listen. Our nation has been stolen by the corrupt and by an evil that must be challenged or our freedom shall be consumed by it.

You must first understand that history is repeating itself. Once the Republicans privatize prisons they will become the "camps" where they send those who resist their 'new world order'. They hate liberals so much they just might create 'special camps' for the liberals. Will that include you?

Taking the Bush regime for granted would be your first mistake. Waiting for deliverance without getting off your rear end for more than just one protest gathering is another.

Everyday you waste while ignoring what's happened allows further entrenchment by those that have shamed America. Resist! It's great therapy, and you just might do wonders for yourself and for your country.

I expect nothing from the conservative corporate-owned media, except for more of the same. However, wouldn't it be great if every Saturday or Sunday — every week — there were thousands of Americans in the Times Square area of Manhattan marching to CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, and the New York Times to declare them the Bushit Media until it becomes a universal mantra?

How 'bout weekly in front of the White House demanding Bush's resignation, then march to Justice Dept. to demand a Federal Investigation, then to Supreme Court Injustices to demand their resignations?

Watch the movement grow, here, there and everywhere. We must show the conservative media and those that occupy the White House nothing other than utter contempt.

Next, we boycott their advertisers and those corporations who funded this theft. Imagine for one moment turning off the networks and refusing to buy from their sponsors. Imagine if all the people who voted for Al Gore — more than half the people in America — refused to spend their money with corporations that support the Bushies........what a thought!! VOTE WITH YOUR POCKETBOOK!

Don't forget, David always beats Goliath. But first he has to find his slingshot.

Yours Faithfully, Bob Kunst
